Last February 25, 2012, we went to Pampanga to visit a Benedictine monastery and listen to a nun the spirituality of the Benedictines. After that we visited Chef Lilian Borromeo, one of the famous chef in Pampanga and also known as the maker of the miraculous and famous Bread of San Nicolas.
We were grateful to her because she shared to us how to cook the bread of San Nicolas. It was a unique experience to listen to a legendary chef in Pampanga full of knowledge and wisdom. All her life she grew cooking but it is sad to hear that her children wouldn’t be able to continue their ancestral traditions for they don’t have any interest on food. Her prowess in cooking and the family’s secret recipes would now be tied and locked up inside a box, where dusts and minute bacteria can only touched it.

A documentary on the harsh effects of fire in the city through the eyes and lenses of two Cebuano photojournalists. It contains actual footages of their risky coverages, it’s impact on the unfortunate victims and the testimonies of the many heroes who rose up against the fiery adversary. It also tackles the rich history of the Cebuano’s enigmatic strong faith in times of tragedy.
